Born in the Dirt: The Big Laundry Origin Story

Big Laundry Baseball started with a nickname earned in the red dirt of Arizona.

When Big Laundry was 10, During a tournament, one of his coaches back home in California was watching him play on GameChanger and noticed something: He was always in the dirt. With a text message to his dad, the nickname was born:

“Big Laundry.”

It fit.

Long before that Arizona tournament, Big Laundry had been playing baseball the same way. Since T-ball, he would slide into EVERY base. Headfirst. Feet first. Necessary or completely unnecessary. It didn't really matter.

Clean uniform in.
Dirty uniform out.

And somewhere along the way, all that dirt became part of his identity as a ballplayer.

From a Nickname to a Brand

Big Laundry Baseball wasn't created in a boardroom or dreamed up by a marketing company.

It was earned in the dirt, it is the idea of an 11 year old. He took the nickname and the way he loves to play the game and turned it into something more: a family-run baseball lifestyle brand for players like him.

The kids who dive.

The kids who grind.

The kids who take the extra base.

The kids who leave the field covered in dirt because they couldn't imagine playing the game any other way.

Big Laundry Baseball celebrates everything that comes with that—the dugouts, tournaments, teammates, road trips, sunflower seeds, late innings, early mornings, grass stains, red dirt and, of course, the mountain of laundry waiting when you get home.

Because someday the uniforms will stay clean...Until then, get dirty.
